Bows For Recreation And Hunting

Are there any laws against shipping a compound bow across state lines?

I left my bow back in Kansas, thinking there would be nowhere to shoot in San Fransisco. I have now found a really great target course and want to use my bow. As it would be shipped without arrows and unstrung would I still have to fill out a permit? Or get a licence for it?
